As of September 2023, the CDC recommends:
Everyone 5+: 1 updated COVID-19 vaccine, > 2 months after getting the last dose of ANY COVID-19 vaccine.
Children, 6 Months — 4 Years (NOT previously vaccinated against Covid):
2 doses of updated Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or 3 doses of updated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine
Children, 6 Months — 4 Years (previously vaccinated against Covid before 9/12/23):
1 or 2 doses of updated COVID-19 vaccine depending on which vaccine and the number of doses they’ve previously received. Please call and check with our pharmacist for more details.
We now have the COVID-19 MODERNA vaccine in stock for:
- Kids 6 months - 11 years old
(we need a prescription for 6 months - 2 years old)
- Adults 12+
Walk-ins are welcome Monday - Friday: 9:30am - 5:00pm and Saturdays 9:30am - 12:00pm, on a first come, first serve basis. Please be patient and allow for at least 30 minutes as we will be able to take a limited number of patients per hour.
Please bring all insurance cards, as we will bill your insurance (MediCal, MediCare, and commercial). We do not accept Kaiser but offer self-pay for all vaccines.
The CDC is no longer recommending the Janssen vaccine.
We vaccinate anyone 3 years old and up for ALL eligible vaccines. Children 6 months - 2 years old can receive any vaccine series from River Oak Pharmacy with a prescription from their Pediatrician.
For ALL vaccines, no appointment is needed - we have walk-in hours available Thursday, Friday and Saturday when we are open. Call us to find out when we can see you!
We always offer curbside vaccines - we will come to your car!
